Not Just a Service, A Person Who Gets It.
It Started as Care, Not a Business
I started The Pet Bestie because I couldn’t find what I was looking for as a pet owner — someone who showed up consistently, paid real attention, and communicated without being prompted. So I built it. My connection to animals deepened when I lost my first cat unexpectedly, and it never left. I later adopted two more cats and now have three of my own, which is a very normal number of cats.
What I’ve always known, and what pet care confirmed, is that this work requires real trust. Clients aren’t just handing me their pets. They’re handing me access to their homes, their routines, and their peace of mind. I don’t take that lightly.
After a career in operations and administration, I made the decision to build something of my own. The work I kept coming back to was the work I was already doing on the side: caring for pets, showing up consistently, and making sure people could actually relax while they were away. So I made it official.
